Toilets Installation Tips
- Do you require a P trap or S trap toilet suite?
- There are 4 types of toilet suites, which do you require; standard suite, semi closed coupled, closed coupled and skewed pan?
- If installing a semi closed coupled or closed coupled suite will the water point interfere with the new toilet?
- Will you be installing a wall hung toilet? If so, do you have adequate support behind the wall.
- Will you be installing an in-wall cistern? If so, you will need to frame out the existing stud wall to the manufacturerβs specifications.
- Always ensure to engage a licensed plumber for installation so it complies with Australian Standards.
If your installation includes any plumbing or electrical work itβs essential to use a licensed plumber or electrician. Licensed trades must hold insurance to be granted their license, which protects both you and your home. A licensed trade has a higher standard of knowledge and experience than someone who is only registered or in training.
